My art journey started way back when I was a child. Family influences opened me up to artistic values. Slowly, I took this path and it is what I enjoy doing the most.
During high school, surrealist artists such as El Salvador Dali and Rene Margritte often inspired me. Dali’s ‘The Persistence of Memory’ sparked extra interest towards my art direction as it elicited empathy from the viewer.
Then in 2001, I found my specialty in the celestial form of art called Graffiti that has brought me closer to the surroundings and the environment that is developing around me. Soon after, my works evolved into a different perspective, focusing on the fragmentation of any form of boundaries. The medium and the thoughts (conveying the style and message) are what got me interested in Graffiti Art.
There are two sides of interests – the adrenaline rush and the satisfaction when the pieces are done. ‘Wildstyle’ has played a major role in my approach and Graffiti Writers such as “Saber”, “Poesia” and “Totem” are some of the inspiring talents that I look up to.
Wouldn’t say that I have a fixed style in me, as I love to see my so-called ‘Wildstyle’ continuing to evolve and making changes in terms of experimenting the ‘compactness’, flow and colors. If there is a name, I would call it “ Wildstylasticalism”, as I tend to construct each of my letterings as if they are being pulled in an elastic way. The whole idea is to arouse curiosity from viewers and at the same time acknowledge that it is not a stagnant style if they have the chance to update on my works.
Other specialties include communication design, illustration, apparels and murals.
